V8 Supercars & Ray White Power Up For Charity

By Andrew Bell

Ray White Surfers Paradise has joined up with V8 Supercars to host a business leaders’ charity lunch on the eve of the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600.

The function will be staged at Jupiters Hotel and Casino on October 23 and all proceeds from the event will go to Surfers Paradise and Southport Surf Life Saving Clubs.

V8 Supercar drivers and Miss V8 Supercar girls will mingle with guests whose tickets will include a two-course lunch, beverages and entertainment from comedian Paul Martell.

The event will be hosted by media personality and former cricketer Greg Ritchie in Jupiters’ Grand Ballroom.

RWSP director Greg Bell said it was great to be teaming up with V8 Supercars just ahead of one of the Gold Coast’s biggest events.

“Teaming up with V8 Supercars made a lot of sense to us – V8 Supercars are not only increasingly aligned with business community, they’re a Gold Coast events icon,” he said.

“It is great timing for our annual charity lunch as business leaders from across the country will be in town for the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600.

“We’re hoping the lunch will add to the buzz and anticipation that always surrounds this iconic event.

“I urge the city’s movers and shakers to get involved in what will be a fun, entertaining and quintessentially Gold Coast entrée to the Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600.”

V8 Supercars chief operating officer Shane Howard said the event was a great opportunity for Australia’s premier motorsport category to engage with local and interstate business people ahead of the City’s largest annual event.

“The V8 Supercars in Business Lunch is a great way for our teams and drivers to engage with the business community and share what our company and sport is all about,” said Mr Howard.

“The Castrol EDGE Gold Coast 600 is one of our signature events. It is set along one of Australia’s most iconic tourist destinations and it’s fantastic that Ray White Surfers Paradise has partnered with us for this opportunity.

Mr Bell said the event was in aid of a worthy cause ahead of Surf Life Saving’s busiest season.

“Our annual charity events, which also include the Muscular Dystrophy Ball, are our way of being part of this community and giving back,” he said.

“We are happy to use our substantial resources and our staff to coordinate these community events.

“We love creating great events for the Gold Coast that get people together for a good time and produce substantial benefit for worthy causes.”

Tickets to the lunch cost $1500 for a table of 10. To book contact Selena Carson at s.carson@rwsp.net or (07)5584 9451.
