The ultimate Surfers Paradise summer bucket list

By Andrew Bell

Summer is right around the corner – what are you planning to do in Surfers Paradise when the sun is out and you’ve got some time off from work? When you own a Gold Coast property, it’s easy to always have something fun to do. Even going to the beach and sitting/swimming/reading there for the whole day is a special experience here.

Beyond beach days, Surfers Paradise has a lot to offer though. Which activities are you already planning this summer?

1. SkyPoint Climb up Q1

Q1 is Australia’s highest external building and the jewel in the crown of the Surfers Paradise cityscape. It stands at 322 metres tall, and the Observation Deck is 270 metres up. You get sweeping views over the beautiful surrounding area. Make sure you go up on a sunny, clear day for the best views and the hottest climb!

2. Moreton Bay Dolphin Cruise

Take a trip out to one of the most special marine landscapes in all of Australia and look for bottlenose dolphins at the Moreton Bay Marine Park. A six-hour cruise including snorkelling and the option to go four-wheel-driving through the sand dunes makes for a memorable day trip, and you’ll see the best of the Bay in summer.

Warm, clear waters make this one of the best places to swim and see wildlife, plus you can be picked up straight from the Gold Coast. If you have family visiting from overseas this summer and want to give them an experience they’ll remember for the rest of their lives, a trip to Moreton Bay might be your best bet.

3. Carols on the Beach

A Surfers Paradise classic, Carols on the Beach on December 23 is a fun, free family event that does what it says on the tin. Sit on the beautiful Surfers Paradise Beach and sing along to some of your favourite Christmas carols!

Festivities kick off at 6.30pm so you can head down early for a nice walk along the beach as the sun goes down. What’s more, it’s a great time to be around other people from the Surfers Paradise and wider Gold Coast community, so make it a family and friends event and get a big group together.

Living on the Gold Coast is a lot of fun, but these sorts of activities can really help to make the most of it. To find out more about moving into the area or finding your next dream home, get in touch with Ray White Surfers Paradise today.
