Real estate in Surfers Paradise and Queensland continues to grow in attractiveness, as the state tops labour force figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics. There are now more jobs being created in the region than anywhere else in the country, according to Treasurer Tim Nicholls.
The results for February 2014 put the state out in front of the other regions, with trend employment increasing by 26,600 over the last 12 months. Seasonally adjusted employment over the same period has risen by 40,100.
“Today’s figures also show Queensland’s employment growing by 30,800 jobs in February, seasonally adjusted. The trend measure shows an increase of about 900 jobs,” said Mr Nicholls in a March 13 statement.
Furthermore, this result highlights that Queensland employment has increased 16 out of the last 17 months, indicating the growing strength of the region’s industries and overall economy.
“Today’s figures also highlight the need for the Government to be able to fund job-creating infrastructure projects in the future,” said Mr Nicholls, with further development for job creation hinted at in the near future.
Now could be the perfect time to consider purchasing Main Beach real estate and cementing yourself in the region today.
