Owners of Surfers Paradise property could be interested to hear about the local council’s decision for preferred developer for the creation of the new integrated resort expected in the region.
ASF Consortium has been chosen to fulfill the contract, which will help propel the area’s tourism industry into the future while providing a number of jobs and opportunities for the local residents in the coming years.
Mayor Tom Tate said that now was the time for the community to voice their ideas and concerns about the development, which could help provide a great economic boost for the region and aid the future growth of the area.
“The decision rests with the community. Council will conduct independent community consultation to ensure everyone has a say, not just a vocal minority. Families will benefit through job creation in the construction and operational phases and businesses will reap the benefits of supplying and servicing this multi-billion dollar development,” said Mr Tate in a February 13 statement.
The project is slated to provide over 36,000 new jobs in the area and inject the local economy with at least $750 million. Now could be a great time to be the owner of Main Beach real estate in Surfers Paradise.
