There's no better time to experience Queensland's stunning beaches than in the autumn months, one state minister has asserted.
Speaking on April 24 in between the back-to-back Easter and ANZAC Day long weekends, Steve Dickson, the state's minister for national parks, recreation, sport and racing, observed that locals and visitors appeared to be making the most of the sunny weather.
Bookings for campgrounds across the state are higher than during the same period last year, and both overnight campsites and day-use picnic areas are proving popular across south-east Queensland, Mr Dickson said.
