The annual V8 race is set to take place in Surfers Paradise and the city is set to host the biggest party with a week long celebration.
Alongside the three day street race, there will also be the biggest entertainment program the event has ever seen.
Popular US rap-rock band, Gym Class Heroes, will be performing on Friday [insert date] night with supporting acts Spiderbait, Havana Brown and Bombs Away.
On Saturday night, things get a bit more local with Australian electro-pop duet and Aria winning team The Presets playing. They will be supported by Grinspoon, DJ Brooke Evers and the Gold Coast's own The Stafford Brothers.
Residents of Surfers Paradise property who want to catch a glimpse of the actual racing, might be in luck. The three day Enduro Cup race will see teams driving around city streets competing for the title.
Those with a real interest can pop down to the High Street and check out a collection of racing items donated by drivers, teams and event organisers.
The historical collection features items that date back to 1991 and residents of Main Beach real estate can easily pop across to see the expo from 11 a.m. daily, beneath the Hilton hotel.
