Hi there, Andrew Bell with you. I thought it would be a great opportunity to give you a glimpse and a bit of an update on our Event 2019 program.
This is the largest real estate auction event in Australia every year and we are proud to host it and we are extremely proud to have been the originators of this great concept. The Event is designed to capture the attention of the high volume of visitors and locals who are on holidays over the Christmas/ New Year period and have the time to look into their real estate needs.
We have started today well beyond expectations. You never quite know what to expect and we know the market has been more tempered throughout 2018. The Event so far has been just a fantastic day. A huge number of bidders have been bidding on properties. We have been selling a mighty lot of property between the $800,000 and early million-dollar bracket. At this stage it is a high success rate, around the 75% clearance rate. We don’t expect that to hold throughout the entire auction, but it has been a great start for the real estate market here on the Gold Coast for 2019.
