What makes Ray White Surfer’s Paradise the 2017 Business of the Year?

By Andrew Bell

Earlier this month, our CEO Andrew Bell joined fellow winners of Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards at KPMG for the 2018 Winners Lunch.

The honour comes after receiving the title of the 2017 Business of the Year. This award is the pinnacle prize presented at the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards and competition has grown increasingly strong throughout the years.

CEO Andrew Bell accepted both this recognition and the annual Professions and Business Services award at the gala dinner attended by 650 of the city's business leaderson November 25, 2017.

An honour to be named Business of the Year

Receiving recognition as the 2017 Business of the Year came as a great honour and the realisation of a 15-year-long dream. In his acceptance speech, Andrew recounted the past years of submitting to the Business Excellence Awards in which he and his brother Director Greg Bell witnessed the calibre and international credentials of other businesses taking the crown and felt they would never

"We're proud Gold Coasters. We could not believe in this city more and to try and be one of the best businesses on the Gold Coast has been something we've aspired to for a very long time. It really isn't about Greg and I, we have 270 staff on board and we just attract the most beautiful people to our business."

What made receiving the award so special for Andrew and Greg was to be recognised in front of their families – and to come home to a 270-strong staff who were over the moon.

How does Ray White Surfers Paradise group excel?

Ian Cousins, president of the Awards, has commended Ray White Surfers Paradise Group for its promotion of the Gold Coast as both a residential and commercial destination, including through annual events such as the Event Auction. Furthermore, our annual ball gala ball and charity auction have raised over $3 million for the Muscular Dystrophy Association so far.

When asked to comment, Andrew said:

"We truly know business recognition is the contribution of so many who have chosen to come with us on the journey that we are on. To be the best business that we could possibly be. To be innovative. To grow. To develop. To provide extraordinary customer service and to consistently achieve great outcomes for our clients."

Again, we are deeply honoured to be titled the 2017 Business of the Year and are excited to see how we can challenge ourselves to continue to grow and succeed. To find out about how we can help you do the same, get in touch with our team of real estate professionals today.
