Installing solar power on your Main Beach real estate could be a great way to make your home as comfortable as possible, while helping to reduce your electricity bill and help to contribute towards a cleaner, more sustainable Australia.
The latest Roy Morgan Research survey has found a huge number of Australians are beginning to adopt solar power into their homes. In fact, the number of people across the nation installing the technology has more than doubled over the last three years – growing from 7.5 per cent in the March quarter of 2011 up to 16 per cent at the end of 2013.
On a state-by-state basis, 22 per cent of Queenslanders have installed solar power into their homes. This is second only to South Australia, which is currently resting at nearly three in ten people (28 per cent) installing solar power.
According to the survey, one in five people who have lived in their property for over 10 years have installed solar power. However, the trend seems to indicate people installing solar power in their homes sooner – the proportion of people undertaking these installations who have only lived in their current home between three and five years grew from 9 per cent in 2011 up to 16 per cent in 2013.
