Ray White Set For Spring Selection Showcase

Ray White Surfers Paradise will kick off the Gold Coast’s lively spring selling season when it hosts the Spring Selection auctions on September 18.

Spring is recognised as one of the most active periods of the year for local real estate and presents one of the best times to market a property on the Gold Coast, according to RWSP CEO Andrew Bell.

Mr Bell said the Coast’s picture-perfect springtime weather made for a wonderful selling atmosphere.

“It’s a great time to be house hunting – not too hot or cold to be out and about inspecting properties,” he said.

“But it’s not just the weather, there is an air of confidence at this time of year – people are ready and willing to do deals.

“There is a definite motivation on the part of buyers to be in their new homes by Christmas and ahead of the new school year.

“If auctions results from our offices this year are anything to go by, we’re set for a bumper result.”

Mr Bell said Winter had proved an active period for the local real estate market, noting a surge in deals with interstate and overseas parties.

He said the spring auction campaign – part of a series of major auction events held by the Group throughout the year – would continue the year-long trend of successful auction results.

“This kicked off with The Event in January where more than $20 million in local property sold under the hammer,” he said.

“Our mid-year auctions continued a trend of strong clearance rates which suggests  this is not a blip, buyers are no longer sitting on their hands.”

A selection of residential properties from across the Gold Coast, as well as boats and berths from the Group’s Ray White Marine division, will go to auction.

Among the properties is a selection of lavish Sanctuary Cove homes, including an opulent resort-style residence at 6260 Broken Hills Drive which features multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces, floor to ceiling windows, tiled pool and 24/7 security.

A Surfers Paradise sub-penthouse in the Circle on Cavill tower will also go to auction, as well as family homes in Upper Coomera, Biggera Waters and Ormeau.

“There is a vast selection of properties catering to all sectors of the market headed for auction, including apartments, family homes and prestige properties,” Mr Bell said.

The auction showcase will take place at 11am on Thursday, September 18 at the Gold Coast Turf Club.
