Queensland undergoes employment growth during April

By Andrew Bell

When you're looking to sell your Surfers Paradise property, it's worth looking into the employment figures of your local area. One of the main thing people look for are job opportunities and if you area is currently performing well, this will be a benefit for your sales process.

For example, the latest release from the Australian Bureau of Statistics has highlighted the growth of Queensland's labour statistics. The state has created more jobs than any other state over the last year. In fact, April saw 7,000 jobs in trend terms and 4,400 in seasonally adjusted terms, according to Treasurer Tim Nicholls.

"Today's figures represent twelve months of consecutive trend employment growth in the state and the fastest monthly growth in trend employment in four years," said Mr Nicholls in a May 8 statement.

"They confirm Queensland's position as the top state when it comes to job creation, with more than half of the jobs created nationally both in seasonally adjusted and trend terms over the past 12 months to April generated here."

People are always looking for jobs in their new areas. As the strength of the market continues to grow, your chances of successfully selling your real estate in Surfers Paradise in the coming months could improve.
