Christmas Lights Set to Make City Sparkle

The annual Gold Coast Christmas Lights Competition has opened for 2013 and residents of Surfers Paradise property can get their entries in now.

Households are encouraged to get in the spirit and light up their properties this Christmas.

Alternatively, for a great night out you could download a list of the entrants and winners and jump in the car for a tour about the city.

Get the Christmas carols blasting as this is sure to get you in the Yuletide spirit!

Winners will be announced on December 6 and the public viewing will continue until Christmas Eve, giving you plenty of opportunity to get out and view the area's best and brightest.

If you want to take the legwork out of your trip, you can jump aboard one of the Murrays bus tours. It will take you directly to the judges' top picks.

Running the entirety of the lighting competition, the buses leave the Arts Centre Gold Coast daily at 7 p.m. It is best to book through Murrays Coaches ahead of time so you are guaranteed a seat.

Plus, for every trip booked, $1 will go towards the Mayor's Christmas appeal, which is one way residents of real estate in Surfers Paradise can join the community to take care of the less fortunate.
