Andrew Bell’s Market Update: 5 Key Points If You Want To Capitalise On The Market!
Issue 2 | January 19th, 2017 | 5 Key Points If You Want To Capitalise On The Market!
What a stunning, spectacular start we have had to 2017 here on the Gold Coast. Whilst official figures are not available yet, every measure says that it is a record number of visitors here with us at present and accommodation providers, restaurants and retailers are all saying there is incredible confidence and people are spending, spending, spending. Great for our economy.
The Gold Coast has also seen a superb start to the property market for 2017. We have been ready and organised since late last year and have come out of the blocks from Boxing Day with expectations of the busiest start to a new year in 10 years, and we have not been disappointed.
The 131 properties we are taking to auction on the 29th of January, in The Event 2017 are receiving unprecedented enquiry. They have been carefully chosen properties and the best array of real estate we have ever been able to offer at an Event in its 24 year history. Click here to view the properties.

This stunning home features five ensuited bedrooms and separate master retreat, pool, spa and BBQ area, wide 46m* water frontage plus pontoon and jetty.
Where Are Buyers Coming From?
The buying has come in three forms.
- A lot of local owner-occupiers seizing their holiday break to get out and find their new home for 2017.
- An incredible number of interstaters, particularly from Melbourne and to a lesser degree Sydney, who are either buying because they intend to move here shortly or in particular selling their homes interstate for $1 – 3 million or more and buying something on the Gold Coast for $800,000 plus and putting the rest into income producing investments. We also have a surge in purchasers of holiday apartments and homes.
- A broad spectrum of expats and overseas investors buying here on the Gold Coast.
People are brimming with confidence about the Gold Coast. It has never looked better. The $14 billion worth of government and institutional infrastructure spend has been a huge injection to the economy and has provided assets such as the new hospital, the light rail and so on which has contributed to a much more vibrant city. Many additional billions of dollars in private development investment is also pumping huge amounts of money into our local economy. Of course, the Commonwealth Games in April 2018 is a recognised factor in the city having such a bright future.
Five Key Points To Note?
There are five points I want to bring to your attention and especially for those who want to capitalise on this stunning market.
First – Exclusive offer
The Ray White Surfers Paradise Group have an exclusive offer never before seen in our country. This is an interest rate, available only for the month of January, of 3.49% for qualified buyers, buying only through our office. This offer has never been available anywhere else in Australia. Interest rates trending upwards already this opportunity should not be missed. Click here to find out more information about this offer.
Second – If you are interested in buying
The Event 2017 auction has gathered together sellers who are not testing the market, but are determined to sell their properties. As such, these are the properties that any prospective buyer should be inspecting. This coming weekend is the last full weekend to inspect properties before the auction. Most of our properties are advertised in the Gold Coast Bulletin this weekend and all of the properties are listed on portals.
You can also click here to view all of the properties for sale at The Event 2017. Open home times are either displayed or you can give a quick call to our sales representative to confirm inspection times
Third – Free Information from industry related businesses
In addition to the auction we are also holding our annual Gold Coast Home & Living Expo. This is an opportunity for any party interested in real estate to gather all of the information they need in a one stop environment. We have everything from our Loan Market financiers to conveyancing solicitors, to removalists, pest and building inspectors, solar companies, home furnishers, security companies and so on, you name it, anything associated with Home & Living that you might want a bit of information.
There will be special offerings for those attending the expo, so make sure you come along if you are thinking about buying, selling or renovating in the future and get all the information you need. It is a completely free service, and one we are extremely proud to provide.
Fourth – Don’t miss the chance to see an inside into the new technology
The Event and the Gold Coast Home & Living Expo is being held at the Gold Coast Turf Club, in the event centre, at Racecourse Drive, Bundall. The Expo starts at 10am and the auction will begin at 11am. There is plenty of free off-street parking and we have everything from a cafeteria, to a competition to win a Bali holiday and other entertainment.
Pop in and look at what Realestate.com.au has on offer as you will be fascinated with some of the latest technology that is available. The Gold Coast Bulletin also has a very special presentation for you to see.
Fifth – Get in touch
If there is anything that we can assist you with, in any way please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone, on the Event hotline – 1800 198 009 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. 2017 is going to be a fabulous year for real estate here on the Gold Coast so please do not miss out on the opportunities. We have worked hard to put the best selection of Gold Coast property and everything from an Australian record home loan interest rate to special arrangements on conveyancing and everything else associated with buying a property
